Well, everything about Buddy made you want to spend time with him. I could fill a couple years on a calendar I spent in the woods hunting with him and in just simple tailgate conversations about life, Christ, people that couldn't drive worth a hoot, bad politicians, and how he wasn't asleep when the gobbler came in-he just didn't see it-right. Buddy always spoke on the simple things in life.... how easy it was to accept Christ and how great his love was for us. He always spoke about heaven and what it would be like to see everyone again. Buddy gave me his time when I needed it the most. If everyone could have a friend like Buddy Nidiffer, the world would be a different and far better place. I will always miss his inspiring phone calls, encouraging me to be the man Christ expects me to be and to pray often-the power of prayer. I can't believe he's gone. I will miss him every single day and every turn of the seasons. Here's to a you friend. See ya later!

Buddy was one of the first family memebers I met before I married his nephew Steve. I will never forget how welcoming he was. He was loved by all of his family and his love for the Lord was heard by whoever spent more than a minute with him.... God Bless him and his family in this time.

Buddy was a dear friend. We lived within three blocks of each other most of our childhood and teenage years. He excelled in sports, which I know he loved, but I never heard about his involvement in other activities in his adult life. He contributed greatly to the people and community where he lived.
I'm sure that his family, all of you, will miss him very much and I will miss seeing him at our Elizabethton High School, Class of 1954 reunions.
Sincerely, Pat (Peters) Payne

Uncle Buddy was one of the most loving, caring, and kindest man I ever known. There are not enough words to express all that he meant to me and my family. He made it a point to tell myself and my children NOTHING in life mattered more than a personal relationship with Christ. I will be forever grateful to have had such a godly influence in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and for God to comfort them and give them strength as only He can. God Bless

Buddy, my brother, was my childhood playmate. He was my idea of the measure of a man. I adored him throughout all of the 73 years I had him with me. My heart is broken. I loved him and will always retain my admiration for him as he was a very special gift from Heaven. My prayers are for his family. Karen Nidiffer Reed
