David R. Mitchell CLEVELAND, OH - David R. Mitchell 66, of Cleveland Ohio, departed this life on October 21, 2020, at University Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio. He was a 1971 graduate of Bonds Wilson High School, North Charleston, SC and a 1975 graduate of Wilberforce University, Wilberforce Ohio. He served diligently as an active servant of the Lord as a Trustee at the Central Bible Baptist Church, Cleveland, Ohio. He retired from the Kmart Corporation. He was the manager of the City of Cleveland Cemeteries. He was a life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity INC. The bereaved family includes his wife, Rhonda, his children his Mother Mrs. Georgianna Mitchell, North Charleston SC: 6 sisters, 5 brothers and a host of in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 12 o'clock on Friday November 6, 2020 at Fellowship Church of God, 24821 Columbus Road, Bedford, Ohio 44146. Words cannot express the love that I have for you Dad. God Blessed me with the BEST DAD a girl could ask for. You introduced me to the Lord at a young age and the importance of God's word and promises. For that and all that you have done I want to say "Thank you" and I am forever grateful. You always called me your angel and now you are mine. I can hear you say "Kizzie, your Daddy more gooder now" and Dad I know you are. I always came to when my heart and spirit was overwhelmed and heavy you gave me verses like Psalms 61 and 91 to read and gave me my many Dad pep talks. I'm going to miss our talks , laughs, good times and good food. I'm going to miss you singing to me when I'm under the weather or when when I call you, you always sang to me. My Grandmother lost her son, my mother her brother, My father his brother in- law, My husband, children and I Our Uncle David. He was a gentleman & A Scholar a God fearing, kind hearted, hard working man who served his church & community, loved his wife and his entire family for all of the days of his life. He will forever be missed... I can still hear him call out for Me “Hey Dee Dee.” Until we meet again in Heaven Uncle David. We All love you, yet We know that God loves you Best

To Rhonda, and the Family,
David will be sorely missed. He has definitely been more than a brother in law to me since I met him years ago. There’s not enough paper or time for me to describe the attributes that David possessed, but I will say that he had not only showed me love as a friend, sister in law, etc., he showed the love of Christ whenever I talked with him. He had a level of integrity that’s not easily found these days. Rhonda, I pray that your heart will have peace in knowing that David’s living will not be in vain. Bless you my sister.

I worked with David in the Woodland Cemetery Foundation. Loved to here him sing especially the Star Spangled Banner. Also we shared our love of. Almighty God and his son. To David's family , friends and co-workers I lift him up to God's embrace and pray for his family. He really will be missed.
