David was a man with the biggest heart of anyone that I knew. No one was a stranger around him and people of all ages wanted to be around him with his infectious personality and finding the humor in almost any situation. He brought calm to the stress and humor to life. His love for the Lord was amazing and his faith unending. He lived out the commandment of 'Love each other as I have loved you.' John 15:12.

We were always family with you and your love and hospitality of both you and Betty Lynn will never be forgotten. So blessed to have our family spend three summer vacations with you and the family. Until we are reunited again brother!

David was a caring, friendly and outgoing gentleman always putting others first. Your affection towards Betty Lynn with class and respect displayed a standard to strive for. I am so thankful my daughters were able to witness a strong and solid role model. Time shared welcoming me into your family of F3 brothers with a united bond placing Jesus front and center will always be cherished. David, you are a man walking the walk (or running) and talking the talk. Your quick and witty catch phrases with a chuckle and bright smile transforms any awkwardness into a positive and pleasant celebration. I am so grateful our paths have crossed on earth reuniting in eternity praising our Lord and Savior together again.

To David's Family,
My deepest condolences to you. Although it been many years since we've talked, please know I thought the world of David. What a great friend. Many memories from the Foster St. Gang. Great times at the pool, park, and the reservoir. Although we lost touch once we moved away from Fostoria it doesn't surprise me to read how great of father, husband, uncle, and friend he was to so many. He was the same on Foster St. back in the day. Please take care of each other. Love Always, Dave Coburn

To David"s family. In the early 1970''s, I was the secretary at Holmes School in Fostoria and David was probably in the first grade. He was having a bad day and came to the office. We talked and I told him if he had a yellow shirt to wear it to school the next day. Sure enough ,here he comes the next day in a yellow shirt. When I saw him, I winked at him and he smiled. So cute, I never forgot the incident. He was a fine young man, I always knew he was a winner. May bless all of you and give you peace. RIP David.

Uncle David was the most loving uncle I had. He gave the tightest hugs I'll never forget. He was the BEST host and always offered for me and my family to visit whenever. He even let me drive Better Together; a boat I will also never forget. He always made sure I felt comfortable and welcome.

There was a night I spent in the guest bedroom and stupidly spilled nail polish remover on his dark, expensive bedside table. I felt so bad, but new I had to own up to it. I did. But not to my parents, but my Uncle David. The next morning I told him I need to confess my mistakes just like I do with God and that I needed to tell the "Big Man" or the "Boss" of the house. He smiled and didn't get mad at all, but even encouraged me to not tell my parents. Not only did he not get mad, but he also made me a bowl of yogurt for me afterward. He served me after I ruined his furniture. That is just the kind of man David was.

I have also kept a voicemail from my Uncle David from December 20th, 2018. He called me a lot when I was going through a rough time. Keeping his voicemail was one of the best decisions I have ever made. He ended it by saying, "I love you very very much, and I can't wait to hear your voice sweetheart." Again, that is just the kind of man my Uncle David was; caring, respectful, and loving. I'll miss you forever!

So blessed to have met this Man, David Russell Mills. It was a Sunday get together at their pool as we were visiting my Son, Jesse Lee, his wife, Carrie and my two Grandchildren. I remember being so welcomed in their home that day as we all gathered before heading to their pool. Family times like those are always the best of times and I could feel they felt the same.

David Mills you were blessed with a beloved Family and you will be so truly missed.

I am PROUD to say that I was given the chance to meet you, please look up my Son, Jeremiah Lee. I'm sure he would love to play a game of pool with you.

Our condolences to the Family,
John and Debbie Lee

From the very first moment I met you, I knew there was an amazing man both inside and out.
You are going to be greatly missed, as we already see here.
I know you are in the company of Jesus now and praying for your family that they have the peace and comfort of Jesus!
They know where you are, but they still need our prayers for the day to day without you and your presence.
Until we see each other again, Brother!

Dave Mills was one of the most courageous encouraging friends I had. His smile and hug was contagious. You could not help but to notice he and my dear friend Bettylynn whenever they entered a room. They displayed the purest love. I will miss my friend, my husband especially is missing him. I know he is rejoicing with arms raised and fist in the air dancing with the Lord. We love you!

This is so hard. Even though you had your own battles, you helped my son Cameron when we found out he had a mass and it had the c-word on it.(I remembered you told me not to the word). You talked to both of us and took him aside and helped him so much. Your compassion for others, meant so much to so many. I will never forget your smile, always smiling and encouraging everyone. God has gained an awesome angel. We will miss seeing you, that smile and those great hugs of yours. Fly high til we see you again. I know you are smiling down on Bettylynn and your kids and watching over them.
