My deepest condolences to Susie and family. It was a pleasure to work with David for many years at Milcom. Miss our Christmas Parties and just hanging around Dave. He was one of our elite that helped make Milcom the success it became. Far Winds Shipmate! We've got the watch.

Susie , David meant so much to so many of us and no amount of words can express just how much we will all miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Ben, Bubba and the rest of his family and friends.

David, you were a shipmate and friend to me for more than 35 years, I will miss you terribly as will all who knew you. Carry on Bubba

There was a man who you could truly call a friend. Riding with him, talking with him, just enjoying his company, was enough. Bye Dave.

A great man and true friend. He was my mentor and Adjutant of American Legion Post 179 while I was the Commander for 3 years. I will miss you my friend.

What a wonderful human being and I had the pleasure of knowing and working for him for 10 years he taught me everything I needed to know about the submarine world I will miss him .

Finding the right words to describe Dave is nearly impossible because he was so much more than a friend for 15 years. He was the most compassionate man I have ever known; he was an inspiration; he was patient and anti-confrontational to a fault; he was a true leader but yet depended on those he respected to give their opinions. He will forever leave a footprint in my life. My love to Susie, Bubba and Ben.

I wish you peace in your final resting place Dave. You were a good shipmate, officer, and friend. Your sense of humor was second only to your sense of duty. The world is a sadder place without you.
