David Lewis Obituary

LEWIS, David David Guy Lewis, also known as Gravy , 54, of Summerville, beloved husband of Helaine Heiker Lewis, died Friday, August 1, 2008, at Summerville Medical Center. Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 11 o'clock at Tri-County Cremation Center, Oakbrook Chapel, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Burial will be private. Mr. Lewis was born January 1, 1954 in Henrietta, NC, a son of Virginia Dobbins Lewis and the late Charles Edgar Lewis. He was a graduate of East High School in Forest City, NC. For 20 years he was owner and manager of Lewis Roofing in Summerville until his retirement in 2003. Mr. Lewis had a large network of friends and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He was known and loved by many and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to his wife of Summerville and mother of Forest City, NC are: one daughter, Christine Harrison and her husband Sean of Summerville, one son, Thomas Wolff and his wife Melissa of Summerville, four grandchildren, Stoney Wolff, Madison Harrison, Brandt Harrison, and Ricky Helms, three brothers, William Lewis (Nancy) of Forest City, NC, Robert Lewis (Kay) of Ellenboro, NC, and Barry Lewis of Forest City, NC.
