David Kohlhepp Obituary

David E. Kohlhepp CHARLESTON - David "Dave" E. Kohlhepp, 81, of Charleston, husband of Dorothy McIntosh Kohlhepp, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Veterans Victory House, Walterboro. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 2, 2011 at 12 o'clock at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406 or Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412. Mr. Kohlhepp was born January 5, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son of the late Ted and Doris Newton Kohlhepp. He was a graduate of Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended LSU in Louisiana. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force retiring after 20 years as a TSgt. He later retired from Lockheed after 26 years as Supervisor. He enjoyed woodworking, furniture making, cabinetry and photography. He was a member of Peace Presbyterian Church, Goose Creek. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: one son and one daughter: Mark D. Kohlhepp of Summerville and Debby K. Mims and her husband David of Goose Creek.
