David Ford Obituary

David Bruce Ford COLUMBIA, SC - Mr. David Bruce Ford, 66, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28, 2021, at his home. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina, to the union of Alex Ford, Sr. and Julia Lincoln Ford. He graduated from C. A. Brown High School, in Charleston, SC. He spent four years in the United States Army. During his working career, he was employed by the Charleston Naval Base as a rigger. Upon moving to Columbia, SC, he was employed and eventually retired from G-T-G insulation and Building Company. He was baptized as one of Jehovah Witnesses on July 1, 2006. He was a member of the Saint Andrews congregation in Columbia, SC. David was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Alex Ford, II, and Julius Ford; and one sister, Florine Juanita Ford-Smalls. Mr. David Bruce Ford leaves to celebrate his life and mourn his death: his loving wife, Audrey Ford; his daughter, Kenyetta Greene, of Charleston, SC; his siblings, Doreen Bullard, of Charleston, SC, Simon Ford, of Sarasota, FL, Alexine Ford, of Columbia, SC, Sarah Ford, of Columbia, SC, James (Linda) Ford, of Newport News, VA, Deborah Ford Perry, of Columbus, OH, Mark (Myra) Ford, of Charleston, SC; his granddaughters, Kyera Greene-Bailey and Kylee Greene, both of Charleston, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
