David Dukes Obituary

DUKES, David REEVESVILLE - Mr. David W. Dukes, 88, of 1021 Flatwoods Road, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005. Mr. Dukes was born in Rowesville; a son of the late Charles W. Dukes and Olivia Metts Dukes. He was the widower of the late Loydis Myers Dukes. He was retired from the Navel Ammunition Depot in Charleston, served in the US Navy during WW II and was a life long resident of the community. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Ott Funeral Home in Branchville with the Rev. Jason Altman, officiating. Burial will be in the Rigby Cemetery near Bowman. Mr. Dukes is survived by three sons, Mr. David Wesley Dukes, Jr. of Cary, NC, Mr. Billy Wayne Dukes and Mr. Gussie Robert Dukes, both of Reevesville; one brother, Mr. Henry Dukes of Orangeburg; two sisters, Mrs. Louella Beasley of Dr. and Mrs. Vernon Farmer of Orangeburg; five grandchildren, one great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
