David Bostick Obituary

David Seth Bostick, age 64, of Ridgeville, SC, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday afternoon, February 10, 2026. Born on March 5, 1961, in Greenwood, SC, David was the son of George Byrd Yarbrough and Eugenia Ann Boland Bostick. A former member of Advent Lutheran Church, he dedicated his career to drywall installation, retiring from Bostick Construction where he worked alongside his brother. David also contributed his skills to Bonitz and Interior Systems.

David was a true outdoorsman who found joy in nature, especially deer and squirrel hunting and fishing in bass tournaments. He also enjoyed reading and playing tank and battle warship games on his computer. His passion for firearms led him to rebuild guns and assist friends with gun repairs, design, and customization. He took pride in his distinctive, fast, and loud truck, often taking rides just for the sheer enjoyment.

David's love for animals, especially his cats and his dog Max, was matched only by his appreciation for a delicious meal lovingly prepared by his wife. Above all, he was most proud of his roles as a devoted husband, dad, and granddaddy.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years and high school sweetheart, Sheri Jones Bostick; his daughters, Stacey Denise Canington (David Ryan) of Pinopolis and Rebecca Elaine Feagin (Derek Alexander Chase) of Moncks Corner; his brother, Robert Travis Bostick (Sandra) of Ridgeville; three grandchildren, Olivia Rose Feagin, Jackson David Canington, and Lucas Ryan Canington; and a special nephew, Kasey Bostick. David was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Clifton Mathew Feagin.

A memorial service to honor David's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday.
