It was with great sadness that I learned of David's passing when I called his room last evening. For many years David has been a loyal friend, companion and mentor to me and I will miss him dearly.

David was a dear friend, a kind person and a delightful story teller. We enjoyed many days and evenings with him. We were saddened to here of his death, but having visited him in the past year we know his quality of life was poor. We will miss him. We are happy that he is now with his beloved wife Jean in heaven. Dorothy spoke with him in August and he remembered her for the first time in several months. Our condolences to all the family.

I was saddened to have heard of David's passing one week later. He was very dear to our family and loved by my children. We treasure our memories of the Thanksgivings and other occassions he spent with our family.

I credit David with making a musician of my son via the generous gift of his old trumpet to Graham.

I pray fond memories ease the pain of loss for all who knew and loved him.

Mr David Barry was a great man. He did a lot with his life and was always very very nice to me and my family. I am so sad he is gone.
