David Baca Obituary
On February 8, 2021, David P. Baca, artist, passed away at the age of 59. David was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 30, 1961.
David began drawing when he was very young and lived for his passion for art. As a painter, he was well known for his abstract cityscapes and architectural influences. In film, David was a dedicated art director and guest lecturer/mentor at the Santa Fe Community College. He played drums, guitar, sang, and wrote music. David was a sensitive and vibrant soul, caring deeply about the people surrounding him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Seferino Baca; brother, Dan Baca; and stepfather, Al Tell. He is survived by his mother, Norma Tell; sisters, Nancy (Allen) Walters and Rebecca Benenati; and nieces and nephews, Erica and Jason Walters; and Matteo and Amalia Benenati.
Due to COVID, David's funeral will be a private event. Details of a future memorial will be shared on David's memorial Facebook page: facebook.com/david.baca.1422
