David O Anderson Summerville - David O. "Pops" Anderson, Jr., 72, of Summerville, husband of Ann Honney Anderson, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at MUSC, Charleston. Family and friends are invited to attend a Gathering on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 6 to 8 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 1 o'clock at Dorchester Presbyterian Church, 10290 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Inurnment will be at a later date at Mepkin Abbey, Moncks Corner. David was born May 16, 1948 in Darlington, SC, son of the late David O. Anderson, Sr. and Louise Howle Anderson. He served in the US Army and was owner of an Industrial Plastic Recycling Company. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He never met a stranger and was an avid Gamecock Fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dorchester Presbyterian Church, 10290 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Ann, one son and one daughter: Mandy Gregory (Dennis) of Summerville and Dave Anderson (Brandy) of Greer; four grandchildren: Reagan and Brayden Gregory of Summerville and Bryce and Blake Anderson of Greer; two sisters and one brother: Joyce Searcy (Robert) of Greer, Larry Anderson (Debbie) of Taylors, SC and Anne Hartzog (Leighton) of Sumter; and several nieces and nephews.
