David Acree Obituary

David Michael Acree MONCKS CORNER - Entered into eternal rest on Saturday night, November 5, 2011 Mr. David Michael Acree, 62 , husband of Karen F. Acree. Residence Moncks Corner, SC. The relatives and friends of David M. Acree are invited to attend his funeral services on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at five o'clock p.m. at Smyrna United Methodist Church. Interment will be private. David was born on May 3, 1949 in Jacksonville, FL a son of the late Earl Troy Acree Jr. and Margaret Semonick Acree. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. David had been a service writer for TTT Freightliner Trucking company and had been in the trucking business all his life. He was a veteran of the US Navy, an avid outdoorsman, he loved his dogs and classic car restoration, especially his 56 Crown Victoria. He was also a member of the Smyrna United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; Karen Acree, of Moncks Corner, SC; sons: Justin Acree and his wife Stacie of Summerville, SC, Michael Acree and his wife Deborah, Summerville, SC and Matt Acree of Hanahan, SC, a brother, Richard Acree and his wife Diane of Brentwood, TN, a step brother Randall Whisenhunt of N. Charleston, SC a step sister Joy Segars and her husband Michael of Summeville, SC and Debra Heyward, a step mother Margaret Ann W. Acree of N. Charleston, SC and 4 grandchildren: Austin, Payton, Kayla and Micah. Preceded by brothers E.T. Acree III and Ronald Joseph Acree. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Smyrna United Methodist church, 724 Cypress Garden Rd., Moncks Corner, SC 29461 or the MUSC Neuroscience ICU, Arrangements by Carolina memorial Funeral Home. David was a close friend and neighbor when we attended Hanahan High in the 60's. We had alot of good times in his 58 Ford. He was a good fellow and I am truly sorry to hear of his demise. Time heals.
