I was so sad to read about your loss. I was in Washington DC and am just coming back to town. You know I would have been there had I been in town. I cannot begin to understand what you are going through right now, but I would like to offer my prayers and condolences to you and your family. May Darrell rest in peace.

Darrell was a musical mentor for me and my brother Javar White. He heard us singing while we were walking down the street in 1994-95 and called us over to talk about music. From there we had a musical partnership that lasted over 10 years. He was the first person to believe in us enough to take us out of town for competitions. He was the first to teach me how to record and even get us on TV. We lost touch about 8 years ago and we couldn't find him. Hearing about this breaks my heart. My prayers are with his family. I never got to tell him what he meant to me. He will be missed. His memory lives forever in my heart.
