Danny Nix Obituary

Danny Wayne Nix BRUNSON, SC - Mr. Danny Wayne Nix, 64, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the Hampton Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Born Feb. 23, 1948, in Ridgeland, SC, he was the son of the late John Hamilton Nix, Jr. and Eunice Belger Nix. He was the owner of DWN Trucking, had served his county in the National Guard and was a member of Brunson Baptist Church. He loved driving his truck and motorcycles, was an amateur poet, had a great affection for all his cats and was an enthusiastic fan of Wade Hampton and USC football. He was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Edie Rish Nix; two daughters, Angie Kirby and husband Jamie of Orangeburg and Dana Layseth and husband Ryan of Bluffton; one brother, John Hamilton Nix III and wife Christel of Columbus, GA and one sister, Beverly Ann Brewer of Greer, SC. There are five grandchildren, Lindsey, Landon, and Kayla Kirby and Valerie and Natalie Layseth as well as a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 11 AM in the Brunson Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. R. P. Hodge and directed by PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
