Daniel Trotta Obituary

Daniel J. Trotta, Sr., 62, of Dupont, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009, at home.
Born in Pittston, on July 12, 1947, he was a son of the late Richard and Clara Dalessandro Trotta.
He was a graduate of Pittston High School, Class of 1965. He was a member of the U.S. Army, having served during Vietnam. He was a member of St. Mary’s Assumption Church, Pittston; the West Side Social Club, Avoca; the Dupont Polish Club and the Veterans of the Vietnam War Organization, Pittston.
He was employed at the Tobyhanna Army Depot.
Surviving are his son, Daniel Trotta, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, and their daughter, Brianne, Enola, Pa.; sisters, Shirley Trotta, Pittston; Phyllis Kane, Atlantic City, N.J., and Dolores Korpita, Kenvil, N.J.; brother, Richard Trotta Jr., Exeter; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 802 Susquehanna Ave., West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Assumption Church, Pittston. Interment will be in Marcy Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Military honors are by the Dupont A.M.-Vets, Post 189.

I have many good memories of Danny and Richard from our days at the Pittston Little League park in the mid 1950s. I am sorry to learn of Danny's passing. I'll keep Danny and the Trotta family in my prayers.
