Daniel "Willie" Meeks Terry HAMPTON, SC - Mr. Daniel "Willie" Meeks Terry, 81, of Hoover St. North in Hampton died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at his residence. Born Feb. 19, 1931, in Brunson, SC, he was the son of the late Newton Walker Terry and Emma Rivers Terry. Mr. Terry served his country in the United States Air Force, had retired as a truck driver from Cummings Oil Company in Hampton and was a member of St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church in Hampton. He will be remembered by family and friends as a "jack of all trades" and for providing his own unique inventions for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Evelyn Matthews Terry of the home; two sons: Glenn E. (Puddy) Terry and wife Linda of Brunson and Daniel W. (Danny) Terry of Hampton and his friend Linda and one daughter, Donna Terry Pitman of Hampton. There are five grandchildren: Lyman (Spike) Pitman III and wife Jennifer, Kip W. Terry and wife Christy, Terry D. Pitman and wife Jamie, Brent E. Terry and wife Suzanne and Jaime Lynn Corley and husband Heath. There are also 11 great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, June 13, 2012, at 10 AM in the Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery conducted by Elder Robert Dobson and Elder Terrell L. Harvey.
