Daniel McBride Obituary

Can't believe 17 years have gone by since Danny left us. But his humor and jokes still remain present. That's why he will never be forgotten.

I met Danny in the early 60’s when he lived in Colon. I also knew his brother Mark and Older sister Kathy. We were great child hood friends. He later moved to Panama City, which was a sad day in my life. We were able to visit each other taking the train on 50 mile trek. I lost touch with Danny when we had to leave Colon in early 60’s and returned to U.S. because of civil unrest.
Never got to say goodbye or give him contact information. I often thought of him and where he was but no internet in those days. When internet became available I searched often, but to no avail. One day I was surfing web and decided to search for Danny McBride. Danny’s obituary appeared, after 61 years of searching I had found my good friend. Rest in peace my good friend.

16 years have gone by and still miss the great times with all the jokes we cracked just to get the great laughs in order to celebrate life.

12 years later...., my friend, you are still missed.

Danny came to visit me in my dreams last Sunday morning. I hadn't thought of him in many years, and was surprised when I opened a door and he was sitting on the couch, he got up and we hugged... I felt that hug...then woke up and thanked God for him! You are missed and loved Danny!

Laura, Jim, Josh & Sarah,
Please be comforted that even though Danny is no longer physically here, he will always be with us in spirit. The strength and love that he has left behind,will carry you through. Danny's smile and genuine kindness has touched our lives and many, many others.
He will be greatly missed.

To Sarah, Jim, Josh, Laura and the rest of the McBride family,

I have been friends with Laura and Sarah for quite some time now and love them as I do my own family. In gaining such a close friendship with them, I was also fortunate enough to meet Mr. McBride. Within minutes of being introduced to him, I was able to see just how gentle, caring and compassionate he was. Mr. McBride was a great man and father and will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with the family now and always.

I just don't know what to say. I will miss him but remember him always. I have been priveleged to be one his many friends. I have learned so much from Dan as a person, he was a safe harbor from any storm. My sincere condolences to Dan's wonderful family. Dan is with his God and he is good hands. The Redmonds will all miss him deeply.

Josh -
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, especially today as you prepare for your dad's memorial service. I've only known Danny for a few months, but I do know he was a very special person and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Never had a human being provided me with so many opportunities to enjoy good, true, and sincere laughs. Dan was always ready to push your life forward with good humor. We spent last Friday listening to live Salsa Music at the Visitor's Information Center. On Saturday he expressed he had a great time listening to the orchestra. On Sunday, he left us. I will miss him dearly; but I know that from high above us, he'll be looking at us and saying some great joke as to how great he is having it and how bad we have it.

We are troubled and saddend to learn of the untimely loss of Dan "McBride" this past weekend. It will take some time to realize we will never again enjoy his broad smile and strong handshake. He will be missed by many.

Danny was a great friend and always lit up the room with his smile and positive attitude. I spoke with him recently about his love of his family and his church. He always was smiling and happy. Every one that met Danny is a better person having known him. He holds a special place in the hearts of his many friends. God bless him. Truly a great person !!!!!!!

Daniel was a great friend from the begining and since we meet him he was always there, professionally and personally. He was my mentor, always encouraging me not to give up. He will surely be missed, but forever remembered.

To Jim, Josh and Family...
Words cannot describe our sadness in the loss of Daniel. Although we have not known him for long, we feel that we knew him well from our very first meeting. Few people come into your life that leave such an indelible impression as Daniel did. He was always a joy to be around. It was our privilege to have known him and we thank you for that. It was obvious that he was very proud of his family by the time he spent with you. There was no one he would have rather spent his time with. Treasure the closeness you shared and know that he loved you above all else. We feel like family and want you to know we are here for you today and all the days to come.

My deepest condolences to the McBride family. Dan "El tigre" as we called each other was a great friend that I will miss dearly. I had the honor to get to know him, play music with him and have an overall good time, he was the one guy who always had something funny to say to cheer you up. This is a great loss to his family but also to all his friends and I have nothing but good things to say about him. God will have a special place for him. God bless you all.

To the Mc Bride family, I'm deeply sorry about your loss. Daniel was a great man. He made an impact on me on how to live positively, He taught me alot about life in the few years I had known him. I know that GOD had big plans for Danny. He will be missed by all his friends. Danny, I love you!!

Danny was an intergral part of our family. He was a best friend to Mark and I, a playmate to John Andrew and Ellen, a housesitter/petsitter for Cali and Jack, and a dinner companion every Saturday night. He is missed dearly and we were so fortunate to have been with him Saturday evening. We love you Danny!

To Jimmy, Josh, & Sarah .. Laura .. and Danny’s parents, sisters and brother,
Years gone by and distance of where we call our home has not diminished the fondness that we have for Danny. Always the friend that would give the shirt off his back to someone in need, Danny’s humor and good heart will be missed by everyone he touched in his short life. He leaves us much too early and will be missed very much. You are all in our thoughts and prayers, and we hope that you are strengthened by the knowledge and pride of what a good man Danny was. To the entire McBride family. Mr. McBride was and always will be a wonderful, loving and caring person. I wonder how someone so deserving of life is taken from us, I guess it's true;God only takes the best. I have grown up with Sarah and her family and he has always been there for his children.
