Daniel Klocek Obituary

Daniel Klocek SUMMERVILLE - Daniel Stanley Klocek, 60, of Summerville, South Carolina, died Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, Charleston. Dan was born March 3, 1953 in Candia, New Hampshire. He was the oldest of five children born to the late Claire Rivet Klocek. After graduating from Memorial High School in Manchester, New Hampshire, he joined the US Air Force. He was a Vietnam veteran then later retired from the New Hampshire Army National Guard. Dan was a patriot, lover of the outdoors, and a devoted husband, father, brother, and son. Surviving are his wife, Rae Ferrer-Klocek, a caregiver at Life Care Center of Charleston, his father, Stanley (Skip) Klocek of Candia, New Hampshire. His children are Mike Ferrer of Manchester, New Hampshire, Kae and Jon Klocek of Richmond, Virginia, and Aaron Ferrer-Klocek of Summerville, South Carolina. Brothers and sisters are Jeanne Turck of Milpitas, California, Michael Klocek of Candia, New Hampshire, James Klocek of Pinardville, New Hampshire, and Judith White of Candia, New Hampshire. His two grandchildren are Lochlan and MacKenzie Ferrer of Manchester, New Hampshire. There are several nieces and nephews, all from New Hampshire. There will be a very casual memorial service at 11:00 Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Northwood Baptist Church, 2200 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston, SC. Mr. Klocek will return to New Hampshire and will receive military honors at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to Odyssey Hospice of North Charleston, which was so needed during these last few months. A special appreciation is sent to Sue Johnson, RN, Nancy Appelt, RN, Chaplain Marshal Stanley, and Sarah Villegras MSW for their wonderful care, compassion, and direction.
