JACKSON, Daniel ST. GEORGE, SC - Daniel Brooks Jackson, 71, of 2713 Wire Road St. George died Saturday November 8, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Tuesday November 11, 2008 in the St. Matthews Baptist church with Reverend Doug Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charlton Peele, Randy Goethe, Teddy Jackson, Jeff Pye, Ronnie Judy, and Harold Bailey. Visitation will be 5 to 7 P.M. Monday evening at BRYANT FUNERAL HOME, ST. GEORGE. Brooks was born March 4, 1937 in St. George a son of Eunice Crenshaw Jackson and the late Merch Lewis Jackson. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a retired pipefitter in shop 56 at Charleston Naval Shipyard and Metal Trades of Charleston. He was a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church and a life member of the D.A.V. He was predeceased by his brothers, Larry (Rock) Jackson and Terry Jackson. Surviving; his wife, Margie Weathers Jackson, St. George; a son, Danny (Robine) Jackson, Reevesville; a daughter, Monica (Joey) Canady, St. George, his mother of St. George, 3 sisters; Alma J. Bertrand, Matteson, IL; Joyce J. (Dunk) Pye, Greenville; Sonya J. (Steve) Walters, Summerville, Grandchildren, Brent Jackson, Adam Canady, Brooke Canady, Cody Canady and Meg Canady. Sister-in-law, Linda U. Jackson and Special Aunt, Lyl. Verne Jackson both of St. George. Memorials may be made to M.U.S.C.
