Daniel A. Coffman ALPHARETTA, GA - Daniel Allan Coffman, age 58, of Alpharetta GA, died June 15, 2014 after an extended illness. Danny was a beloved husband, son and brother. He was born November 29, 1955 in Charleston SC to Arnold Edsel and Norma Jean Coffman. Danny graduated from Hanahan High School in Hanahan SC, earned his Associate degree in Computer Science from Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville FL, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Vermont in Burlington VT. Most of his career was in IT as a system administrator and network engineer, most recently at McKesson Information Solutions in Alpharetta GA. Danny was a kind, patient and gentle man who treasured his wife and family. He loved his dogs and had a tender heart for animals that included being a volunteer at Atlanta Humane Society. His easy-going personality and mischievous wit were a delight to his friends and family. He enjoyed traveling, music, the outdoors and anything associated with being near the water - be it ocean or lake. In their thirty-nine years together, he and Karen avidly attended live music shows and music festivals. He is survived by his beloved wife Karen B. Sentell of Alpharetta GA; mother Norma Jean Coffman of Hanahan SC; sister and brother-in-law Rhonda and John Pinch of Lynchburg VA; brother and sister-in-law Michael and Suzanne Coffman of Charleston SC; and several nieces and nephews including nieces Alison and Ashleigh Pinch of Lynchburg VA; and nephews Andrew Coffman of Charleston SC, and Christopher and Aaron Sentell of St. Mary GA. Danny was pre-deceased by his father, Arnold E. Coffman. The family will receive friends Saturday June 28, 2014 from eleven o'clock am until one o'clock pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston SC 29406. Casual and tropical attire is encouraged. Danny's life celebration will be held Saturday June 28, 2014 at one o'clock pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston SC 29406.
