I'm so sorry to hear of your loved and deepest condolences are extended to you. Something that's helped me through the death of loved ones is to reflect on 1 Corinthians 15:26.

Craig and Edward,
I have great memories of both your parents. They were fair and just referees in our youth, from cub scouts to christmas tree forts, always keeping our excesses in check. The recent story of your dad's WWII experience encapsulated his character. He was an understated gentleman in the best way, who readily let it be known that he preferred to hear what others had to say. His was a life well lived, confirmed by a story well told. Regards to you and his extended family.

To the Bennett family-
Craig was a wonderful man. I only met him 5 years ago but his warmth, interest in everything and love of others burned brightly. I will always remember my quarterly luncheons with Craig, filled with lots of stories including marvelous details of WW II and old Charleston. Craig will be deeply missed. Our condolences to the entire Bennett family and all of his friends. We lost a very special person. Les Detterbeck

Craig and Edward- Your Dad was a very special person to Mary and I. We bought our first house with him as our agent and we became real friends. He was a part of the "greatest generation" and always loved talking about that time. He was truly amazing! I will miss the most though is visiting with him out on the street-he always had something interesting to talk about. We are thinking of your family's and we will send something to the Day School in his honor. Richard Cutler

Dear Bennett Family,
Our parents' friendship bonded our families in such special ways. From sailing the little white boat ( the Prindle?) in Colonial Lake to encounters at the Carolina Yacht Club and Rockville Races, our lives were intertwined.
Your parents both were such gentle and kind people. Our fathers shared a love of the open water, our mothers the service and commitment of the Junior League and so much more.
I will miss Uncle Craig's humor and the twinkle in his eye, his courtly demeanor and devotion to faith, family and friends. His life was an example, his passing a loss to all who knew him. May he rest In peace and may you be embraced by God's Love.

What a simply wonderful man! We will miss him terribly. A man full of integrity, intelligence, determination, kindness and love. Craig gave us a fine example of how to lead an exemplary life. And underneath all of his traits, was a wry twinkle in his eye that kept everyone endeared to him.
He was a magnificent hero among many during World War II.
We will miss him so much!
With love and deepest sympathy,
Kathleen Rivers and Bob Carroll
