Uncle Dino... you were always the better looking brother!! Ask anyone!! And no one could load a dishwasher like you!!
As the youngest and kindest of all of Yia-Yia and Papou´s grandchildren and as your favorite niece, I still remember being so enchanted every time I came to visit you from the dusting west coast. I remember the way your house in Mt. Pleasant smelled of old wood and pipe tobacco. Entering the kitchen door off the garage, I was immediately transported to a time and place that felt more regal and elegant somehow... a time and place that only Charleston can conjure up in your mind.
I remember your sitting area off the kitchen, a mouthy parrot (did I make that up?) and hearing tales of alligators under your hammock in the backyard.
Everything just seemed more romantic and genteel in South Carolina compared to the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas.
The Manos Family altogether... Yia-Yias, Papous, Uncles, Aunts, and cousins everywhere... all loud and laughing and arguing. Relentless teasing... boundless amounts of love... and always the smell of pipe tobacco, perfume, and cocktails. I wish so much that I could go back in time... for just a day... just for a few moments... when the world felt smaller and safer somehow because my Dad and my Uncle Dino were in charge.
Uncle Dino... you loved your family well... and you made a lasting impact of all of us. I love you!! I miss you!! Play poker in heaven and tell St. Peter how you are still the youngest and most handsome of the Manos brothers. We will see you again!!
All my love, Angel Manos Taylor

I first knew Dino at St. Andrew's High School, and he was a delightful person right from the start. Later we both lived in Creekside in Mt. Pleasant, and once in a while I was lucky enough to talk to him. He was always just the same: funny, wise, interesting, friendly, and sweet; a truly wonderful man. Heaven is an even better place with Dino there. Prayers and condolences for his family at this sad time. May God bless you all.

I was very sad to hear that Mr. Manos had passed. I used to babysit for him and his wife in the 1970s, and they were the nicest people I ever worked for. Condolences to Jimmy, Teddy, and the rest of the family.

I am so sad to hear of Dino´s passing. When I was a baby realtor in Charleston, just learning the business in the early 90´s, he was a great inspiration to me - always so kind and willing to answer my questions. When I later became a real estate attorney myself, we shared many transactions as colleagues. It was always a pleasure to work with Dino, Nancy and Donna. They were always a class act and Dino will be sorely missed by the Charleston legal community. Godspeed, sir.

Sixty years ago I was a kid and he was still "Dino" and just as nice as could be. He was always a gentleman, and only saw him mad one time when another attorney was not acting lawyerly in a court appearance. He truly loved our profession and one of the guys who gave it class. His kind, classy and professional, will be missed more than people know. Can´t see a pipe without thinking of him.

I was fortunate to have many closings with Dino; both for personal and our real estate business. He was always prepared, cheerful, and loved real estate. He was an honest expert at his craft and he made sure everything was done properly, leaving nothing to chance. He helped a lot of people, including me many times with sage advice always delivered with a smile. I'll miss him. Teddy, thinking about you and your family! Hope to see you soon,
Teddy
