Connie Bryant Obituary

BRYANT, Connie COLUMBIA - Mrs. Connie Gray Bryant died Tuesday morning, October 9, 2007 at her residence, 101 Nottingham Road in Columbia after an extended illness. Born Oct 24, 1942 in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of Jessie Lee Mixson Gray and the late Fred Jacob Gray, Sr. She was a tour guide in the Charleston area, was a homemaker and was a member of Hampton First Baptist Church in Hampton. Surviving besides her mother of Columbia is her husband, Robert Clayton Bryant of the home; one daughter, Pamela Vazquez and husband Rolando of Columbia; one step daughter, Sandy Foglergren and one step son, Robert C. Bryant, Jr., both of Washington State; one brother, Fred Jacob Gray, Jr. of Hampton; two sisters: Ann G. Avant of Columbia and Jan Brice-Nash of Goose Creek, SC. There are two grandchildren, Katie and Grayson Vazquez and two step grandchildren, Bree and Niklas Foglergren. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12, 2007 at 1 PM in the Hampton First Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Ron Avant and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton. Burial will follow in the Smithfield Family Cemetery near Barton in Allendale County. The family will receive friends Friday morning beginning at 11 AM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, 300 Mulberry St., Hampton, SC 29924. Visit our guestbook at www.charleston.net/deaths.
