Celeste, Al, & Alex,
Our hearts are breaking for your loss. To be so full of life and leave this earth so young is hard to understand. The times we will always cherish are the early years on Woodland. We are proud of Cody's accomplishments and for the love he shared with all in his life. All of you are in our prayers. May God comfort you during this difficult time.

Celeste and family...my heart goes out to you in your loss. At times like these there really are no words of comfort. Only God's Grace can provide us the ability to take one breathe at a time. Remember the Love you shared together.

Al, I'm so sorry about the death of your son. It sounds like to me that your son is just like you. You make a point in making others feel better by your laughter. As a Chaplain, I will be praying for your family. May the Lord give you and all those who have been touched by your son, the peace that passes all understanding. God Bless you my Brother.

Fair winds and following seas, shipmate. You treated me like a person when others didn't. I'll never forget it, and I hope you're rewarded for it on the other side.

My deepest sympathies,
Cody and I served together on CVN 74. During our tenure, we had shared the same duty section and were assigned to the in-port emergency team. Together we would make sure our ship was safe and would always have each other's backs in all situations. Cody will always be remembered as a great shipmate and a fierce friend. He will truly be missed. Fair winds and following seas, until we meet again.

Celeste, our hearts break for you and your family. Cody was such a sweet kid. I wish there were some words of comfort that I could say to ease your pain. I hope it makes it easier to know that Granny and Papa are sure going to take care of your boy. I hope you heart will one day feel lighter when you surround your self with the love he gave. Take care my friend.

My condolences to the Couch family, and to Cody's wife. I had the pleasure of watching him grow into a young man, while playing football with his brother Alex, and being around here and there during his high school days, through mutual friends. I just say, Coach Al & Mrs. Celeste did a FINE job, and I have no doubt that the people Cody worked close with and interested with were blessed to be in his life.

We had the pleasure of hosting Cody in our home a few months back while he waited for Summer. Although his time here was brief he left a lasting impact. Truly a kind soul, he gravitated towards the children and ensured they were acknowledged and spoke to them individually. I took note that day and told myself Summer found herself a gem, his mother sure did a great job on this young man. I took a break from work that day and I went into the living room to have coffee and watch Tv with Cody and I'm glad I did. We spent a few minutes just laughing and imagining eating everything they were cooking on TV. He had a way of making it seem as if we all knew each other for years. That spoke volumes towards his character.I just wanted you to know how thankful we were to be able to host him and get that opportunity to meet him firsthand. May god bless you. You are all in our prayers cousin.
