There is a group of us...Ann, 2 Bonnies, Frances, Jean, Ronda & myself that meet Tuesday nights at The Stadium Club for "girls night out." That is where some of us met Clinton a couple of years ago. Always delightful with a smile, no matter what was going on in his life. He loved to talk about Clemson football & his Alaskan fishing trips. And then later, he told us about Pat. We were all so happy for them & we joked with him about crashing their wedding. He will be sorely missed by many. Somehow, I believe he knows that Clemson beat Florida State Monday night. That would make him very happy!

Pat, Danny and Clinton's children. I only met Clinton at his and Pat's wedding and you could see the special love you had for each other. I was really looking forward to getting to know the man that made my cousin so happy. I prayed to the Lord you would have many wonderful years together, but He had special plans for Clinton. I send all my love to you.

To Clint's family,
We were saddened to learn of Clint's passing. We will miss his zest for life and the sound of his laughter. A few weeks ago I spoke to him on the phone from Cleveland. He was telling me of his "bride" and how blessed he was to find her after all these years. We also spoke of his wonderful, close family who cleaned up the "snowbird's" yard next door after a storm. As he spoke, I could hear the happiness and pride in his voice. May you find strength and peace in your memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Powell Family,

I only had the opportunity once to meet your dad and that was at his and Pat’s wedding. I am sorry I never got the chance to get to know him for I was told many wonderful things about the man who married my cousin that day. I look back with fond memories of how happy both of them were and I could tell by the look in your father’s eyes and by the smile on his face that he was a good, kind and loving man. I know he will truly be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with you and may God bless you and ease your pain during this time of sorrow.

Pat, we are Therrell & Sandra Williams, Sr. cousin of Clinton. We have only met you once, we look forward to seeing you again at the funeral. We were very sorry to hear of your loss. Our prayers are with you in this time of sorrow and may God bless and be with you always. Clinton, being a year younger than myself and Charles being the oldest, I will never forget our childhood on Isabella Streetc Charleston. We spent Christmas night with Charles, Clinton and family and at the time I really believed in Santa. Clinton, Charles and myself looked out the window and saw Santa delivering my gifts to that address, but I still really believe in Santa.
