There is a group of us...Ann, 2 Bonnies, Frances, Jean, Ronda & myself that meet Tuesday nights at The Stadium Club for "girls night out." That is where some of us met Clinton a couple of years ago. Always delightful with a smile, no matter what was going on in his life. He loved to talk about Clemson football & his Alaskan fishing trips. And then later, he told us about Pat. We were all so happy for them & we joked with him about crashing their wedding. He will be sorely missed by many. Somehow, I believe he knows that Clemson beat Florida State Monday night. That would make him very happy!

Pat, Danny and Clinton's children. I only met Clinton at his and Pat's wedding and you could see the special love you had for each other. I was really looking forward to getting to know the man that made my cousin so happy. I prayed to the Lord you would have many wonderful years together, but He had special plans for Clinton. I send all my love to you.

To Clint's family,
We were saddened to learn of Clint's passing. We will miss his zest for life and the sound of his laughter. A few weeks ago I spoke to him on the phone from Cleveland. He was telling me of his "bride" and how blessed he was to find her after all these years. We also spoke of his wonderful, close family who cleaned up the "snowbird's" yard next door after a storm. As he spoke, I could hear the happiness and pride in his voice. May you find strength and peace in your memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Pat, Danny and Powell family,
May God be with you in your time of sorrow and need. May your memories of love, joy laughter and happiness be forever etched into your memories. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Clinton, it is obvious how much he was loved by those whose lives he so gracefully touched. I have heard wonderful things about Clinton and how much love and life he had brought to Pat and Danny. Our thoughts and prayers will be with each of you as you go through these trying times. God bless.

To the Powell Family,
I only had the opportunity once to meet your dad and that was at his and Pat’s wedding. I am sorry I never got the chance to get to know him for I was told many wonderful things about the man who married my cousin that day. I look back with fond memories of how happy both of them were and I could tell by the look in your father’s eyes and by the smile on his face that he was a good, kind and loving man. I know he will truly be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with you and may God bless you and ease your pain during this time of sorrow.

Pat, we are Therrell & Sandra Williams, Sr. cousin of Clinton. We have only met you once, we look forward to seeing you again at the funeral. We were very sorry to hear of your loss. Our prayers are with you in this time of sorrow and may God bless and be with you always. Clinton, being a year younger than myself and Charles being the oldest, I will never forget our childhood on Isabella Streetc Charleston. We spent Christmas night with Charles, Clinton and family and at the time I really believed in Santa. Clinton, Charles and myself looked out the window and saw Santa delivering my gifts to that address, but I still really believe in Santa.

Keith & family,
Mike & I send our love and prayers to each of you. Time will bring healing and God will bring the comfort you need now. We know that you will cherish each precious memory that you have of your dad. It saddens us to realize that eventually we must spend the rest of our days without the ones that gave us some of our happiest moments. However we must rejoice in the knowledge that they are in a better place with those that have gone on before us.
May God reach down and touch your hearts to ease some of the pain.

Mama Powell, Tootsie, Susie, Charles, Pat, Keith, Anne, and Claire, and to all that love Clinton, I am truly sorry for your loss. He was special and I feel priviledged to have known him. But remember Clinton is now with our Heavenly Father, and being shown his new home where the streets are lined with gold and jewels are everywhere. No more sorrow or pain, just waiting on each of us to join him. Take comfort in how much you were all loved and how happy he was especially in the last months. Love to each of you, Rhonda
