Clifton Wilson ADAMS RUN, SC - Clifton Walker Wilson, 86, of Adams Run, SC, died on Monday, August 26, 2013, at home. Born Friday, June 3, 1927, in Allendale, South Carolina, Clifton was the son of the late Walker Wilson and the late Zelma Lyons Clark. Clifton served in the Navy. After retiring from the navy, Clifton worked for the Naval Shipyard in Charleston, SC. His family remembers him as being a devoted family man and everybody's helper. Surviving are brothers, John B. Wilson of Adams Run, SC; Hugh F. Wilson of Adams Run, SC; William C. Clark of Adams Run, SC; Carroll S. Clark of Reevesville, SC; and seven step-children. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clifton was predeceased by his first wife, Annie Laurel Wilson; his second wife, Lois J. Wilson; two brothers and three sisters. The family will receive friends from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 2501 BEES FERRY ROAD, CHARLESTON, SC, 29414. A funeral service will be at 11am on Friday, August 30, 2013, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel. Interment will be at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Memorial contributions may be made to any children's charity of one's choice.
