Clifton Heath Obituary

Clifton Heath CHARLESTON - Clifton Heath, 86, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Mary Ann McCutcheon Heath, entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 1, 2025. The family will receive friends Friday, June 6, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Clifton was born March 8, 1939, in Williston, South Carolina, son of the late Clarence Heath and Mattie Porter Heath Morris. He graduated from St. Andrews High School. He then attended the Citadel and Winthrop University where he met his wife of 64 years. He went on to found Cliff Heath Insurance in 1974 and served his community through the Gideon's International Fellowship and a York County Councilman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Rebeccah Heath of Charleston, SC; son, Adam Heath; daughter-in-law, Erica A. Heath; two grandchildren, Jordan Tyler Whiteside, Channing Clifton Heath; and two siblings. He was preceded in death by his, daughter, Michelle Whiteside; and four siblings. Memorials may be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel. I remember Cliff as a very caring, God filled man, giving wisdom to us when we were young adults. He and his family were loving Bonnybrook Circle neighbors, always willing to tell anyone about the Lord. Saying prayers for your family's comfort.
