Jan,family and friends and I know there are many. My condolences to all. So many beautiful words have already been written and all true. Cliff was a great coworker (Roper) but mainly a great friend. He always had a big smile and a big hardy laugh to go with it. He was definitely a lover of life and people. He loved God and family too. He was a great cook as many of you know. And what a voice. He's probably up there now singing praises. Just an all around great guy. I will miss our conversations and just laughing at the silliest things. I know he will be missed a lot. My family and I are with you all in thoughts and prayers, God bless you....peace be with you. Love, Nettie Martino

Lois,
I am so sorry about the death of Cliff. No parent should have to bury there children and you have had to bury 3. Cliff was a wonderful loving kind giving person. He would give you the shirt off his back. I remember the times Cliff and I had together in high school and as you well know Occasionally got into trouble. He will be sorely missed by a lot of people but he is in the hands of the lord now. Nancy and I will pray for you and if we can do anything to help you or the family please let me know. Love Vance and Nancy Barker

I knew Cliff for many years at East Cooper. He was definitely a gentle giant with a big heart. He truly loved life and was so happy to retire to his lake life and family. We were ALL sad to see him leave us. My heart breaks for his family now. I believe he is enjoying eternal happiness and hope this gives the family comfort.

So sorry to hear about Cliff's passing. I remember him as a caring, gentle "giant" of a man who could be counted on by everyone. He was a joy to work with, had a great attitude, and loved life. Condolences to Jan and the Garten family - please know we're thinking of you.

So sorry for your loss, Jan. I will never forget how great it was to work with Cliff. He was one of those individuals who saw the needs of others and addressed them. He cared deeply about his work and his coworkers. My thoughts are with your family.
