Cleveland Winbush Obituary

Cleveland Winbush N. CHARLESTON - Cleveland Winbush, 67, of North Charleston, husband of Deloris McElveen Winbush, died on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Hospice of Charleston. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon Friday, March 24 at the Church of Christ - 3950 Azalea Drive, Charleston, SC with Minister Ruby Lee Ray. Minister Barry Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Ashley Phosphate Road. The family will receive friends at Hilton's Mortuary 1815 E Montague Avenue, North Charleston, SC on Thursday, March 23rd from 5 pm until 7 pm. Cleveland was born June 24, 1949 in Albany, Georgia, the son of the late John Henry Winbush and the late Cora Roberts Adams. He served in the United States Navy. After leaving the Navy he worked with Verona Chemical, United Parcel Service and ending his working career by becoming the owner of his own business, International Cleaning Services(ICS). Mr. Winbush was also preceded in death by his brother Calvin Winbush. He is survived by his wife Deloris. Son Travis (Eliane) and daughter Arlyn (fiance; William Gadsden). Brothers: Edward Winbush (Helen) Milton Winbush(Melissa), Willie Adams, II (Sophia), Dennis Adams (Nadine) Sisters Corene Hughley, Bettye Ward, Denise Adams(Kelvin), Jenise W. Clark (Tony), Tottie W. Jackson(Emanuel), Karen W. Whitehead (Michael) and father-in-law Isaac Junior McElveen. Aunts, Uncles and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Special friends James Greene and Dan Kote.
