Clarence Leary Obituary

LEARY, Clarence OAKRIDGE - Clarence "Bud" Mitchell Leary of Oakridge, OR, formerly of Charleston, S.C., died Jan. 23, 2009 of age related causes. He was 82. No service is planned. He was born July 26, 1926 in Old Trap, N.C. to Clarence and Bettie Mitchell Leary. He served in the Navy from 1950 - 1954 in Astoria, OR and San Diego, CA. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration with 26 years of service. He married Annabelle Brewer Dec. 22, 1952 in Selma, OR. They had four daughters and divorced in 1969. He married Barbara Anderson on Feb. 1, 1977 in Charleston, S.C. Survivors include his wife, daughters, Helene Fiske of Oakridge, Teresa Leary and Melanie Leary, both of Seattle, and Katria Hand of Portland; stepson David Miller of Johnstown, PA; a sister, Inez Simonin of Charleston, S.C. ; 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Bud was my husband for almost 32 years. He was a true southern gentleman. He loved his God, his family, his country and his friends. Eternal rest grant to him oh Lord and may perpetual light shine on him. rest in peace, until we meet again.
