Clarence Boyd Jr. CHARLESTON - Clarence Boyd, Jr., 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 1, 2024. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 1:00 pm. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel. Clarence was born September 10, 1933, in Beaufort, North Carolina, son of the late Clarence Boyd, Sr. and Annie Edwards Boyd. He married Lillian Ina Sanders of Bay Minette, Alabama February 4, 1956. After his career in the Navy, he owned and operated BoydDental Lab. He was a longtime member of the Masons. For many years he attended Pinecrest Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He appreciated the outdoors and one of his favorite things was being on his tractor in the country. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grand and great-grandfather. He is survived by son, Eddie Kevin (Laura) Boyd of Charleston, SC; daughter, Linda (Mark) Darrington of Charleston, SC; brother, Jessie Boyd of Greenville, NC; five grandchildren, Gary (Rosa) Fuseler, Anna (Andrew) Fuseler, Lillian Darrington, Rachel Boyd, Kevin Boyd; four great-grandchildren, Louis Fuseler, William Fuseler, Severus Brennan, Iris Brennan; In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Boyd; daughter, Rebecca Salisbury (Curt); brothers, Bobby Boyd, William Boyd, Carlton Boyd Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
