Clarence Arnold Obituary

Clarence Joseph Arnold, Jr. HICKORY, NC - Clarence Joseph Arnold, Jr., 65, of Hickory, passed away, Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born December 24, 1952 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of the late Clarence Joseph Arnold, Sr. and Dorothy Austermann Arnold. Clarence was a devoted husband, father, brother and very proud grandfather. He was an avid sports fan, pulling for the Carolina Panthers even when they were in a slump and a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Terri Scola Arnold of the home; daughter: Christi Rostin and husband T.J. of Charleston; son, Robbi Arnold and wife Sarah, of Charleston, SC; three granddaughters: Kayla and Harper Rostin, Hadley Arnold, all of Charleston, SC; three sisters: Bobby Horack and husband Denny of Martinez, CA, Rozanne Huelsman and husband Conrad of Richmond, TX, Barbara Zakes and husband Barry of Oak Lawn, IL; and father-in-law, Donald Scola of St. Louis, MO. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018 in the chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory officiating.
