Maria and family - sorry to hear about your mom. She was a great person and did so much for the community. My father and stepmother really thought a lot of your mom and respected her. Prayers for you and the family.

Claire was awesome and such an inspiration. She worked diligently for My Sister“s House, Inc. during my time as the Executive Director. It was a blessing to know her and to have her in my life.

I am so sorry to learn of Claire's passing. I saw her several times in Mt Pleasant after moving here. However, we knew Claire many years ago through her sister, Daire, whom our family knew very well when I was growing up in the Atlanta area. Claire and her twin sister Daire, were both generous , compassionate and caring women. My condolences to Claire's family. She will be missed.

It was my joy and constant pleasure to have Claire as a partner in community outreach projects. She consistently brought not only her big heart, and humor but unending 'get it done' skills. A life well done. My condolences to her family.

I knew Claire when she served on the Board of Directors including as Chairperson of the public mental health system for Charleston and Dorchester counties and where I was executive director. Claire was a tough cookie but that toughness was always wrapped in a persistent positivity and generosity of spirit and grace. She was savvy, imperturbable, and totally persistent in working to make our community a better place. She was especially dedicated to protecting and improving the lives of vulnerable children. Her contributions to our community were truly considerable, and she will be sorely missed. Thom Hiers, PhD
