I was friends with Chris back in the 1980s. I lost touch after we graduated from the College of Charleston. I just happened to be reminiscing and thought I would look him up when I found his obituary. I´ll always smile when I think back and remember Chris making happy faces on his hamburgers, or sharing a meat lovers pizza while playing D&D.

My brother Chris was a great person, a caring & loving husband to my sister-in-law Terri, a wonderful friend, and a fantastic brother. His kindness and generosity was overshadowed only by his tremendous sense of humor and great laugh. He was a wonderful & caring uncle to my two daughters (his nieces Emily & Beth). We all loved him dearly and although I know I will never get over this loss, I do find solace in the fact that I was lucky enough to have this remarkable and incredible person in my life for 38 years.
Your loving, but sad, sister~

Terri,

I am deeply saddened to learn of your loss. You and Chris were my first and best friends when I came to Charleston all those years ago. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched with his wonderful personality, intelligence, and generous nature.

Although we did not know Chris, after reading the entry in The Airlift Dispatch & seeing his picture today, our hearts are saddened by his loss. He is the kind of person we all wish everyone could be..."sense of humor", a smiling face & his love and compassion for others. Heaven has received another "special" angel.

Our thoughts & prayers are with you & your family.

Terri,

Words can not express the sadness that we all feel and share with you in your loss. Chris was so much more than just a friend, he was more of a brother and you will always be considered family to us. It is very rare in this life that you get to know somebody that has the kind of impact Chris has had on all the lives he has touched. If you ever need anything, all you have to do is call. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers always.

Love, Tom, Jill & Madison

Terri,

Anna and I loved Chris like a brother and will miss him dearly.

It is so hard to believe he's gone.

You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. We will always cherish the three years we spent together. Even though Chris is no longer with us, you will remain part of our family.

We love you.

Terri,

Chris was a great guy and will truly be missed here at the 16th Airlift Squadron. From day one, he fit in so well here. I will personally miss his smile and his kind nature. He was always happy. I know that he loved you very much because he always talked about you. Time will heal you and you will always have the great memories you shared together. You and your family are in my prayers.
