Christopher "Chris" Queen DOUGLASVILLE, GA - Mr. Christopher David Queen, age 45, of Douglasville, GA passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013. He was born May 24, 1967 in Atlanta, GA, son of Richard and Karol Keeler Queen. He was a graduate of University of West Georgia and worked as a sales representative in the automotive business. He will mostly be remembered for the impact he made as a coach in the Winston, Beulah, Boundary Waters, New Georgia and Upward basketball athletic programs. Chris loved his family and was a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Dana Queen of Douglasville, GA; children, Devin, Dawson, Cristen, Camry and Caleigh; parents, Bruce and Karol Queen of Mt. Pleasant, SC; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Doris Bone of Douglasville, GA; sister, Wendie Waters of Farmers Branch, TX; niece, Paige Post of LaGrange, GA, nephew, Ryan Post of LaGrange, GA, and many friends. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents and a sister, Kimberly Victoria Post. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Beulah Baptist Church with Reverend Wayne Bray officiating. He will lie in state at the church from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.
