Christopher Phillips Obituary

PHILLIPS, Christopher Christopher Todd Phillips, born in Stillwater, OK, on September 14, 1968, went to be with our Lord on December 17, 2008, following an intensive battle with lymphatic cancer. Todd died at his home in Winter Park, FL. Todd graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in journalism and public relations. While at OU, he wrote for the Daily Oklahoman. At the time of his diagnosis, he was teaching at rick and English as a second language high school students. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Charlotte Phillips of Albuquerque, NM, his brother, Mike Phillips of Oklahoma City, OK, his maternal grandmother, Vivian Carlton and paternal grandmother, Wanda Phillips, his uncle Mark Phillips and great-uncles James McFarland and Kenneth Lane, his aunts Frances Scowden, Camille Phillips and Sheila Foreman of cousins and great-cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers George W. Phillips and Hoyt H. Carlton and great-grandfather, Burl W. Lane and great-grandmothers Elizabeth Lane, Mabel McFarland and Pearl Phillips. Services and interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Winter Park, FL, with the Rev. Elizabeth Tucker, All Saints Episcopal, Winter Park, FL, presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W.
