I am deeply saddened by this news. I have so many fond memories of Christopher and the Luper family. We lived just across the pond from them in Sumter. I also babysat Chritopher and Jeffery when they were little. My heart goes out to his family, fiance and friends. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Chris is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. I know my son Christopher could not have had a better friend. When Christopher passed a few years ago, Lupe was there for me with his encouragement and thoughfulness. He called me on Christopher's Birthday and the anniversary of his death every year. I'll miss him and those phone calls. Losing him is close to losing a son. I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with the family and Kate. Hope you guys are together again.
Love, Vee Capps (Chris Yon's Mom)

Chris will be dearly missed by all. There are few people in the world that had his high spirits and fun loving attitude. Luper was a very dear friend to my brother who passed several years ago. When this happened Luper helped to fill that void and became like family to me. It is with this tragic turn of events that I once again feel as though I’ve lost a brother. Lupe, you will always be in my memories. I love you man, and you will never be forgotten. My best wishes to the family. I am truly sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you cope with this loss. Chris was truly a great guy and will be greatly missed. I lost touch with him for years since middle school until a few months ago learning that he was here in Charleston and I enjoyed taking the opportunity to catch up with him and tell a few stories and share a few jokes. Please know that my thoughts and prayers and those of my entire staff here at Penske are with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Luper family. I have so many wonderful childhood memories because of Chris: I will never forget when Christopher stole his mother's earrings to give to me because we were "going together" in lower school. He was one of a kind and will truly be missed.

I send my thoughts and prayers to the Luper Family.

My deepest sympathy.
