My wife, Jennifer Chadwick has pretty much summed up our memories of Chris, Carol and the kids. They all mean so much to us. If you ever met Chris, you would see the true meaning of "friend." Chris had a way of making you feel special. He treated people the way everyone should. I can't begin to express the inner loss that I feel for him on this earth, but I look forward to seeing him again one day. I know that he was eagerly received when he stepped into heaven. God bless you, Chris for all you have meant to me and for the lasting memories that you have given me. With your passing, I promise to try to emulate the pattern that you have exhibited to all you have met. I love you, and I, like everyone else will miss you.

Carol, Jennifer and Stephanie,
WE have just heard about Chris. We were in a restaurant in Mt. Pleasant, SC and met a guy (Jamie Lynch)...through conversation Chris' name came up and he told us.
I cannot express how I feel for you Carol and our girls. I remember ALL of the Saturday am's at Dotson's when our kids were "NOT ALL GROWN UP", the BUFFETT concerts, BLEACHERS outings. What great times over the years we all have had.
We have ALWAYS LOVED you'll and treasured our friendship over the past 20+ years.
Please know that our thoughts, love and prayers are with you. Our heart is heavy for a lost friend, but we are looking forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
Let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do for you or the girls, ANYTIME--DAY or NIGHT.
Your Valley, AL and Franklin, TN friend...Jennifer Chadwick

My condolences to Carol and the rest of Chris' family. I've known and worked with Chris for nearly 20 years and always enjoyed his humble manner and caring personality. He was truly a pleasure to work with and spend time with. Chris put people at ease with his pleasant nature.
As a Board member of the South Carolina Association of Environmental Professionals (SCAEP), I am only one of our many members who mourns the passing of our current SCAEP President, Chris Lock. His sudden absence from our organization and lives is difficult to fathom. I will miss seeing his smiling face. At the beginning of our SCAEP meeting this evening, we had a moment of silence in Chris' honor, then spoke a few words on his behalf. I feel as if Chris was present at our meeting this evening and I think we will continue to feel his presence at all of our future meetings.
Thank you Chris for sharing your life with all of us.

I have known Chris since our days working together at SCDHEC in the Eighties. He is one of the most well liked people in all of the environmental industry of South Carolina. We all enjoyed doing business with Chris and his great personality and genuine nature made him extremely successful in his career. Some of my fondest memories are of going out to lunch with him and mixing business and pleasure. My sympathy goes out to the family of this special man.
