It is with deep sadness that we inform you,
Christopher T. Graef, 52, of Albany, New York, passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2025. Born on January 26, 1973, in Albany, New York to his loving parents, JoAnne and Ronald Graef. Christopher was a beacon of light whose infectious laugh and generous spirit touched the lives of many.
Christopher was educated at Hudson Valley Community College, where he studied Computer-Aided Design program. His passion for cars fueled his career and led him to become the proud owner of Premier Detailing. His love for machines did not define him completely; he was equally passionate about animals. His beloved fur babies, Luca and Luna, were a testament to his caring nature and love for all creatures great and small.
In addition to his parents, Christopher is survived by his sister, Anne Marie Graef; his, uncle, John Torre; and his loving dog, Luna. His absence will also be deeply felt by his many cousins and other family members and friends.
Christopher was predeceased by his grandparents, Victoria and Joseph Torre; his grandmother, Elaine Graef; and uncle, Robert Torre.
Christopher was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve. His generosity knew no bounds, often giving more of himself to others than he kept. He treasured his friendships and loved his family deeply. His profound love for all was evident in every action and every word, a love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205 on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Burial will be held privately.
"If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again." These words, though heavy with our collective grief, are a testament to the profound impact Christopher left on our lives. His memory will continue to live on in the laughter, love, and generosity he shared with us all.
As we remember Christopher, let us honor his generous spirit by extending kindness to those around us, cherishing our loved ones, and laughing heartily and often - just as he would have wanted.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Christopher's name to Mohawk Hudson, Humane Society, Attn: 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
