I have worked with Chris since he came to Colleton County, most recently as the Director of Special Services. We share a special bond with those "dang IEPs". As Chris was to retire after this year, we shared many thoughts on that subject. His count down willed be continued. He was an extra--ordinary man who loved his family and his profession. He will be greatly missed by all who shared in his life. My deepest condolences to all of his family.

Chris and I met this past year while playing golf. I will never forget the fun we had, and that fun and witty way we all had while talking with him. One thing I do know, and that is that "He was a golfer, dang it!"

Crowell-You will truly be missed as part of the FCMS family. You made us laugh and helped us to remember that work can be fun. Drew, your father was proud of you as he spoke of you often sitting at my desk. May God forever bless and keep your family. My prayers are with you.

I worked closely with Chris the entire time he spent in Colleton County. We shared a lot of special "jokes". He was always so upbeat - someone you did not mind being around. I truly will miss Chris. As Director of Special Services and as Assistant Superintendent, very seldom would I visit Colleton Middle or Forest Circle and not stop by his class. He was a great asset to the field of eduation. He will truly be missed. Rest in Peace.

Dear Crowell Family,

I am sorry for your loss. I knew Chris during my year at Forest Circle Middle School. Chris could never fit into a single year. I will always remember his pride of his son and esteem for his wife. He did what few special educators do these days, he stuck with it. I know he made a world of difference many times over. I pray that you will find the peace of Jesus in the days ahead. I will always remember Chris.

Crowell was someone who I worked closely with at FCM. Over our 2 year relationship, we became, above all, friends. I will miss the little "talks" we had together and his sense of humor. Chris always talked about his son, Drew, with such pride. I will remember our many golf games together and the laughs we shared. He will be greatly missed.

It takes a sense of humor and a big heart to teach special education. Crowell had both. I enjoyed the friendship we shared at Goose Creek High as fellow teachers. He took much pride in his family, and spoke of them often. I know this is a difficult time, but heaven holds a special place for "special" teachers.
