Mary Anne,
I was so sorry to hear of the death of your son, Christopher. It is so sad when one has to bury a child. I know the heartache - losing my little David at an early age, and my heart is saddened that you too have had to bury your child. I did not know your sons. I think when I saw them at your mother's funeral it was the first time since they were very small. Please know that I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Today my heart is heavy and saddened upon hearing the loss of your precious son, Chris. It was a honor to teach Chris for two years at Palmetto Academy. Chris was a quiet young man that wanted to do his best so his parents would be proud of him.
Chris always had a smile on his face in class....always ready to help anyone in need. My prayers go out to the Carson family in this time of grief. Hold on to the good times and the fond memories you had with Chris. I can see Chris now sitting in the back of my class doing his work with his head down on his desk. When I would call on him, Chris would answer, " I'm awake Ms. Stoucker, I am doing my work." (with a smile on his face)

Dear Zaco, Mary Anne, Donna, and Stephen,

Holly called me today with the sad news of Chris' death. We haven't seen him since he was a little boy, but Holly reminded me of the precious video we had of him on the beach "saluting" his Uncle Cecil! I don't know if the video still exists, but the image is still clear in our minds.

The Carson family has suffered more than their share of "lives ended too soon"...Kevin, Cecil, Shannon, Uncle Larry, and now Chris.

Neither Holly nor I will be able to attend the service tomorrow, but please know that we will be there in spirit. Our prayers and love are with all of you.

My condolences to the family and friends of Chris Carson. I've known Chris for almost 15 years, and I can say for sure, that this world is a smaller place without Chris. His smile was infectious, and he'll be sorely missed. Smile down on us, buddy!
