Christopher Shane Brown MT. PLEASANT - Christopher Shane Brown, 35, of Mt Pleasant, SC, loving husband of Stephanie Grainger Brown and father of Emerson Brown, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, the result of a boating accident. He was born on August 29, 1981, in Sacramento, CA. A Professional Photographer, Chris was an avid foodie, enjoying fine dining and cooking. He enjoyed exploring new areas and experiences as both his profession and hobby. Chris graduated from Trident Technical College with an Associate's degree in photography. Chris, Stephanie and Emerson are members of St. Mary of the Annunciation Roman Catholic Church where they exchanged their wedding vows and Chris was an active member of the community. A gracious and trusting soul, he only saw the best of the world and contributed the same. He will be remembered forever as a loving father and the most sincere, loving soulmate to Stephanie. Besides his wife Stephanie, he is survived by his son, Emerson, as well as his and Stephanie's latest creation, baby Brown due October 2017; in addition, his father and mother, Dave and Cathy Brown; his sister, Caitlin; as well as Steve and Sheila Grainger, Courtney Grainger Goodin (Matthew), Alex Grainger (Amanda), and nieces Emma and Callie Goodin. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 18, 2017, from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 19, 2017, at 10:00AM at St. Mary of the Annunciation Roman Catholic Church, 89 Hasell St, Charleston, SC 29401. The Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Mt. Pleasant, SC.
