Christine Jo Lorusso

Mt. Pleasant - Christine Jo Lorusso, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Norman Lorusso, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 13, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at Goldbug Island February 22nd at 4pm and all are welcome to attend.

Chris was born September 11, 1952 in San Rafael, California, daughter of the late Joseph R. Mitchell and Eva Hoye Mitchell. She was a talented floral designer that worked in the Charleston area for over 4 decades. Christine transformed ordinary days into extraordinary memories through the beauty of flowers. Known for her remarkable creativity and eye for detail, Her work was an expression of compassion, artistry, and heartfelt care. She will be remembered not only for the beauty she created, but for the beauty she carried within her-her gentle spirit, her generous heart, and her unwavering dedication to bringing happiness to others.

She is survived by her son, Kai Lorusso and daughter, Magenta Lorusso and her sister, Kathy Mitchell.

My condolences to Kai and Magenta in the loss of their lovely mother. Chris was all of the things written about her. I knew her through her involvement in the Whitrsides PTA. She was an involved parent which is well-remembered. Praying for God's comfort and peace to cover you during this sad time.
