Christine Jacques Obituary

JACQUES, Christine Christine Rogers Jacques, wife of Thomas Edward Jacques, Jr, residence, Johns Island, SC entered into eternal rest on the evening of November 27, 2008. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edward Jacques, Jr. are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter Monday, December 1, 2008 at two o'clock in St. John's Parish Church, Johns Island. Interment to follow in the churchyard. Friends may call at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel Sunday between five and seven o'clock. Christine was born November 26, 1929, in Bonnyman, Kentucky, the daughter of Grady H. Rogers and Bertha Hurt Rogers. She was a member of St. John's Parish Church and graduated from Memminger High School. She was a teacher's assistant and retired from Sea Island Academy. She is survived by her husband of Johns Island, SC; two daughters, Carolyn J. Grooms of Denver, CO, Linda J. Hihn of Summerville, SC; one son, T. Edward Jacques, III and his wife Tamara of Wadmalaw Island, SC; six grandchildren, Ranae, Randi, Robert, Heather, Stacey and Rebecca; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Randall G. Benton. Memorials may be made to the Altar Guild, St. John's Parish Church, P. O. Box 125, Johns Island, SC 29455.
