Charlie Garrett Obituary

Charlie M. Garrett FLORENCE, SC - Charlie Mouzon Garrett, 84, formerly of Holly Hill, died Friday, June 29, 2012 in a Florence hospital. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Pressley Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Garrett was born in Cross, SC a son of the late Ernest E. Garrett and Mary Brinson Garrett. He was the retired owner of C.M. Garrett Construction Co., a general contractor for fifty years, and a long-time member of Pressley Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was the widower of Jessie Bell Marchant Garrett. Surviving are daughters, Brenda G. Nettles of Florence, and Janet Garrett-Pier of Liberty Lake, Wash.; sons, Charles M. Garrett, Jr. of Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Ronnie Garrett of Summerville; sisters, Annie Mae Baker and Eula Mae Brownlee, both of Summerville, Exie Adkins of Eutawville, and Lois Prescott of Holly Hill; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
