My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this most difficult time. Mr.Charlie & I became friends and coworkers when I started bartending some 17 yrs or so ago at the Chas.Elks Lodge. He was a joy to be around , always had a smile on his face & shared an occasional toddy ! He was very proud of his family and brought his family photo book that his children made for him to share with me. My only regret is that had I known he was in a nursing facility, I would have visited him. He never failed to ask how my mother was doing at the nursing home. A true gentleman with a heart of gold. He will be remembered with love & respect by many that had the pleasure of calling him friend as I did. RIP my friend, and tell my father hello as I'm sure you will see him soon.

I am so sorry for the families loss. I worked with Mr. Charlie at the Elks for years. He was very proud of his family and the stories were amazing. He always had a smile to greet you and you never heard an unkind word pass his lips He was truly an inspiration.
