my friend Charlie words can't Express how much you meant as a co-worker at the fire department and as a friend you were a true friend always keeping it real although you were taken away you will never be forgotten. I always remember when God walks in his garden God always picks his best flower we see and understands things one way but we will never see and understands what God see's In us.to my friend Charlie your in God's hands now AJ

To Bev and the family, to my friend Charles who have left us too soon, I will always keep the memories that we've had from the first day we stepped into Saint Andrew's Fire Department as rookie firefighters and the joy we shared among the men who we worked with. I can honestly say the first time I met "Charlie" it was as though we'd known each other forever. So go on my brother take your rest, we love you but God loves you best!!! Now you've gotten your heavenly wings-I will live to live again so when God calls me you'll be there to welcome me in.

To the entire family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I must that I will forever cherish the warmth and genuineness that "Charlie" always emulated and I'm sure he will be missed. Love always,

Charlie was one of the nicest MEN, I ever met on Johns Island. Charlie was always very helpful, he always visited with our family, he had an "infectious smile and laughter". Charlie mentored/guided, the younger men on the Island and we always, looked forward to his guidance and advice on any subject of life.

May GOD comfort and keep you during your bereavement and please know that, you are in our prayers.

Charlie, as we all called him at St. Andrews Fire Department. You could not have asked for a better person in heart, mind, body and soul. I worked with Charlie for six years as a Dispatcher. He will be greatly missed.

The loss of someone so close is difficult to bear. We share your grief.

If you could take a star from heavens above...that would be Engineer Solomon's smile. If you could take softness of the clouds down from the sky... that would be his Heart. If you could take the laughter of a little child... that would be Charlie. Those are just a few of the memories that I have of Charlie, working at the fire department with him...always there to lend a hand. Always there to help. What a gentle giant. I will never forget his laugh and one of the most infectious smiles I have ever known. I'm blessed to have called him friend and am a better person for having had him in my life. My condolences to Beverly, the family and all the grieve his passing. Cherish his fond memories.

To remember a Man like Charles means a lot to me.Some time we have people to come into our lives that can change us and how we look at life and Charlie did that to me.A strong but gentle of a man who would go to the end of his cable tow.Some of you may know what I mean. To a friendship that mint a world to me.I would think sometime how the way we would respond to the fire alarms on nights when it was cold,ya'll such have seen US.NOW MY FRIEND is gone but to me He will ALWAYS be by my side if I need someone to talk with.To a true Friend that will be miss not by Me alone but the Whole Johns Island Community and the many others who Love and Cared about CHARLES HENRY SOLOMON,SR.,MY TRUE FRIEND . I was truly sadden in my heart when I heard of Charley's passing. I will like to extend to you and your families my deepest sympathy for one of he kindest, gentle, hard working, humble guy that I ever meet in my life. Charlie was the same no matter what time of year, month or day it was. Charlie may not be present in the flesh but his memories and his life lesson will always be cherished.
