Charles E. S. Register VALDOSTA, GA - Mr. Charles E. S. Register, 21, (formerly of Charleston, SC) of Valdosta, GA entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Mr. Charles E. S. Register is the beloved son of Mrs. Sharon Smalls-Register and Mr. Ozell Register, Jr., beloved brother of Simone Nicole Register and Eboni Brianna Register, beloved grandson Mrs. Willia Mae Smalls and Mr. Harold Smalls, and Mrs. Lucille Register and Mr. Ozell Register, Sr., beloved nephew of Antonia Sumpter, Nina Gathers, Gwenevere Simmons, Florence Jenkins, Mary Register, Laquane Smalls, Harold Smalls and Robert Register. The family will be receiving friends at 8222 Washington Lane, Hollywood, SC, starting Sunday, January 17, 2010. The relatives and friends of Mr. Charles E. S. Register and those of his parents, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, January 18, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at Mt. Horr AME Church, 4360 Highway 174, Hollywood, SC. Rev. Robert J. Stokes, Pastor. Mr. Register will lie in state at Mt. Horr AME Church on Monday from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service. Interment: Church cemetery. Family and friends may call or visit Walker's Mortuary, on Sunday, January 17, 2010, after 3:00 p.m. No Wake Service. To my loving son. You were such a special person in our lives. You will truly be missed. My heart is broken, and you will be in my thoughts everyday of my life. It should be no surprise, since the day you were born that's the way it's always been. As you grew into adulthood I had to let you go, to do what you wanted as an adult. It was a struggle for me then; and now, I have to let you go again. It's so very hard, but my love for you will never end. To all those that signed the guest book, Thank You, for honoring our "Young Prince". Thank you for showing all the love, respect and prayers to his family. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

The love we the Register' and Smalls' family have for our Charles, C.C., Charlie Boy, Our Boy, Young Man" can never express the loss we are experience at this time. "Time will heal all hurt and pain of the heart." I know earth has no sorrow that heaven can't heal. But, it is hard to lose a young, inspiring and talented young man like Charles. He was just forming into his own man and he was plucked like a beautiful flower to join His Father up above "God". We are so appreciative that God blessed us for 21 years to love a handsome little boy that developed into a respectable and loving young man. Words can not express the love I have inside for my little man. He is going to be missed by his Parents - Sharon and Ozell, His Grandparents - Harold and Willia Mae Smalls and Mr. & Mrs. Ozell Register, Sr., Aunts- Florence, Cookie, Nina, Mary, Annie Ruth and myself and Uncles Harold, LaQuane, Frank and Robbie and a host of cousins and other relatives. If you met Charles, you know his sense of humor and that loveable smirk he puts on his face lit up the room when he walked in. So, when you see the sun in the sky, know that is my C.C. looking down on you spreading the warmth of his heart upon your face.

To Sharon, Ozell, Simone and Eboni we are here for you all. Words of encouragement for you to meditate on Phillipians 4:4-9 verses. "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."

My heart in full with sympathy as I learned of the passing of Charles I am remembering a bright young many who seemed wiser beyond his years.
Many students come and go from Stall High School, I remember those who I had a special relationship with. Charles was one of a kind.

MY HEART GOT BROKEN WHEN I FOUND OUT ABOUT HIM. WE HAVE A HISTORY TOGETHER AND BEEN THROUGH ALOT TOGETHER. WHEN THEY CALL AND TOLD ME I FELL TO THE GROUND AND CRY OUT. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIM FOREVER.
