Charles Peeples Obituary

Charles Edward Peeples, Sr. Summerville - Charles Edward Peeples, Sr., 84, of Summerville, SC, entered into eternal rest Monday, April 4, 2022. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 in the New Covenant Church of God, 304 S. Pine Street, Summerville, SC 29483 at 11:00 am. Interment with military honors to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel. Charles was born January 28, 1938 in Barnwell, SC, son of the late Willie Frank Peeples and Orena Harvey Peeples. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran, who worked for Berkeley County Schools and RM Industries for 39 years. He was a member of New Covenant Church of God, an avid gardener, sportsman, hunter and fisherman. He was affectionately known as "papa" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Terri P. Wadford (Darrel) of Saint Stephen, SC; son, Charles E. Peeples, Jr. (Julie) of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren: Kaylen Jordan (Chris) and Charles "Bucky" Peeples of Summerville, SC, Autumn Wadford, Dalton Wadford, Rylan Wadford all of St. Stephen, SC; two great-grandchildren; four brothers: Willy Peeples, Jr. (Mildred) of Aynor, SC, Tommy Peeples (Mary) of Ridgeville, SC, Neil Peeples (Betty) of Summerville, SC, Randy Peeples of Johns Island, SC; sister, Joyce Stallbories of Siloam Springs, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol Grooms Peeples; sister, Mary Ellen Duncan, brother-in-law, Raymond "Boogie" Grooms.
